Lisa is an amazing dancer/choreographer. Her visions are deep and intricate, subtle yet striking, natural and smooth then slap rough alligator skin straight out of your eyes like burning tears. Her vision comes diving straight from her heart and soul. Like a wave in the ocean her passion seems to flow so smoothly and beautifully, but if you don’t watch your self you may be pulled in by her overflowing emotional current, sending you out to sea, never to touch ground again.
I feel blessed to have helped create the soundscape for a few of her projects along side with her multi-talented musical genius/photographer husband Piro Patton.
My first major work with Lisa and Piro was for Virile Streak, a piece loosely based on the complex relationship between Renée-Pélagie de Sade and her husband the Marquis de Sade and time warped forward to the present, this evening work is saturated in manipulation, dominance, desire and restraint. After a series of shows at the ODC we made the journey to perform a residency at the Joyce SoHo in New York City.

I was asked to join forces again on her next major piece, indifference, a piece inspired by the novel L’Etranger by Albert Camus. We had a residency this time at CounterPulse in San Francisco. This time the band, Piro and I added Dave Milhaly the incredibly talented and beautiful maestro on drums and percussion.
